HAMBURG: South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased about 125,000 tonnes of feed wheat to be sourced from optional origins in a deal on Friday, European traders said on Monday.
It was purchased in two consignments with different shipment periods, they said.
The wheat was thought likely to be sourced in the European Union.
One consignment of 60,000 tonnes was purchased at $189.25 a tonne c&f plus a $1.00 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading.
The first consignment was for shipment between July 15 to Aug. 5.
The second consignment of 65,000 tonnes was bought at $187.90 a tonne c&f plus a $1.50 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading.
The second consignment was for shipment between Aug. 1-31, they said.
