KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 48289.66 points with a negative change of 16.17 and volume of 101,459,540 shares.

High and Low were 48341.17 and 47774.44 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 180,608,490 shares with 367 total traded companies out of which 141 were up 207 were down and 19 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 31,422,300 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 28,481,300 shares.

The three top traded companies were B.O.Punjab with a volume of 16,426,500 and price per share of 15.71 (1.00), Sui North Gas with a volume 7,763,000 of price per share of 134.24 (2.07), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 5,837,500 of price per share of 52.64 (0.21).

The top three advancers were Unilever Foods with price per share 6300.00 (200.00), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2508.45 (119.45) and Philip Morris Pak. share of 2357.03 (97.34).

The top three decliners were Bata (Pak) with price per share of 4090.00 (215.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1532.24 (77.76) and Sanofi-Aventis share of 2000.15 (66.27).
