Pakistan pursuing objectives of non-proliferation, intl security: Fatemi

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi has said that Pakistan is a strong, capable and committed partner of world community in pursuing objectives of non-proliferation and regional and international security.

He was making concluding remarks at the two day regional seminar on UN Security Council Resolution 1540 here on Wednesday.

Tariq Fatemi said Pakistan believes that control measures to address risks of weapons of mass destruction acquisition should not hinder the legitimate quest of the developing countries to access and use strategic materials and technologies for peaceful purposes.
