KARACHI: Justice Ahmed Ali M. Sheikh on Wednesday sworn in as the 22nd Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC).
The oath was administered by Governer Sindh Muhammad Zubair.
The oath taking ceremony that took place at the SHC was attended by senior members of the legal fraternity including judges and senior lawyers. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was also in attendance.
Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh was born in Larkana on October 3, 1961. He completed his graduation from Larkana and continued to pursue law at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur.
Justice Shaikh started practicing law in 1990. He was appointed as an SHC judge in 2009. He will perform his duties as chief justice SHC till October 2, 2023.
Former SHC chief justice Sajjad Ali Shah has been elevated to Supreme Court judge.
