ISLAMABAD: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Sheikh Aftab, Thursday said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had given special consideration to power sector and now even a block of four houses could apply for installation of electricity distribution infrastructure.
He said this while chairing a high level meeting of Prime Minister's Sustainable Development Program. The meeting was related to development work in electricity and power projects, said a press release.
The meeting was also attended by officials of all DESCOs, the minster was briefed about ongoing development schemes and future power distribution projects in every constituency.
The secretary water and power briefed about new initiatives to make electricity distribution more efficient.
The minster was presented details of future electrification projects in every division.
