KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Monday having 48621.97 points with a negative change of 569.78 and volume of 50,032,380 shares.

High and Low were 49254.77 and 48562.00 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 133,092,840shares with 381 total traded companies out of which 86 were up 284 were down and 11 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 22,827,100 shares. It was followed by REFINERY with a total traded volume of 13,862,300 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill. with a volume of 10,625,000 and price per share of 22.80 (0.80), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume 7,422,000 of price per share of 9.55 (0.04), Engro Fert.. with a volume 3,452,500 of price per share of 68.45 (0.31).

The top three advancers were Unilever Foods with price per share 6034.72 (287.36), Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7899.00 (99.00) and Colgate Palmolive share of 2100.00 (50.00).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2394.98 (126.05), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2095.70 (110.30) and Philip Morris Pak. share of 2300.00 (76.99).
