ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani Thursday reserved his ruling after listening to members' arguments about annual presidential address to the joint sitting in January.
During the session, the chairman sought views from the senators about the timing of presidential address to the joint sitting of the Parliament.
Those who presented their views included Senators Javed Abbasi, Barrister Saif, Muzafar Hussain Shah, leader of the opposition Aitzaz Ahsan, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad and Law Minister Zahid Hamid.
Senator Farooq H Naek had sent his written statement which was read by
the chairman Senate in the House.
Meanwhile, the house also adopted certain amendments to the Senate Rules unanimously. The amendments were proposed by leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq and leader of the opposition Aitzaz Ahsan.
