KARACHI: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zafar Iqbal Jhagra Wednesday said the provincial government of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP) instead of serving the people in accordance with its mandate, preferred the politics of `Dharna'.
This he said while talking to newsmen during a visit to the Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Wednesday.
He declared that the federal government would overcome the energy crisis before the completion of its constitutional term.
The governor KP also lauded the contributions of Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism.
He was of the view that in the aftermath of the 2018 general elections there would be PML-N government in the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
Zafar Iqbal Jhagra said the PML-N could have formed its government in the KP but we preferred the democratic norms.
He said the people of KP had given mandate for the resolution of their problems but the sitting KP government preferred the politics of `Dharna' instead of serving the masses.
Governor KP said when Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif took up office he had promised to eradicate terrorism, power shortages and for strengthening the economy of the country.
He stated that for overcoming terrorism the Pakistan Army rendered immense sacrifices. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar contributed the most for improving the economy.
He said the energy crisis would be overcome before the completion of the constitution term of the PML-N Government.
Zafar Iqbal Jhagra said that the Governor Sindh, Justice (Retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman, was now feeling better and would soon assume his responsibilities.
Senator Saleem Zia and other office bearers of PML-N accompanied the Governor KP during his visit to the KPC.
