RECORDER REPORT: PSX mid day update

KARACHI: On Wednesday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 42716.41 with a positive change of 84.83 and volume of 68,866,540 shares.

High and Low were 42734.44 and 42582.41 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 258,756,480 shares with 353 total traded companies out of which 193 were up, 139 were down and 21 were unchanged.

INV. BANKS / INV. COS. / SECURITIES COS. was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 28,768,000 shares. It was followed by TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION with a total traded volume of 28,009,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pace (Pak) Ltd. with a volume of 21,121,500 and price per share of 12.15 (0.12), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume 16,597,500 of price per share of 12.90 (0.18), Byco Petroleum with a volume 15,350,000 of price per share of 23.80 (0.68).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4760.55 (226.68), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2010.43 (95.73) and Service Ind.Ltd share of 1407.00 (67.00).

The top three decliners were Unilever Foods with price per share of 5700.00 (60.00), Khyber TobaccoXD with price per share of 875.00 (41.50) and Philip Morris Pak. per share of 2175.00 (24.59).
