Both the leaders strongly condemned the increasing incidents of cruelties against unarmed Kashmiri people by Indian occupied forces in Occupied Kashmir and unprovoked firing at Line of Control by Indian Army.

Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman paid rich tributes to Kashmiri people laying down their lives for achieving right of self-determination and supreme sacrifices of Pakistani citizens and Army Jawans martyred due to unprovoked firing of Indian army.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the movement of self-determination of Kashmiri people could not be pressed through bullet and carnage. He said that today every person of Occupied Kashmir was demanding freedom and Indian government could not deprive the Kashmiri people of their basic right of freedom for a long time.

He said that the policy of cruelty and violence of Indian government had failed in Occupied Kashmir and Kashmiri people were writing a new history with their blood.

Shehbaz Sharif said that solution to Kashmir issue in accordance with UNO revolutions was necessary for lasting peace in the region and Indian government would have to quit rigidity and come towards solution of Kashmir dispute. He said that there was no justification for silence of World Community over human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan would continue political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people, he added.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had raised Kashmir issue at international forums in an active manner. He said that silence of World Community over martyrdom of innocent Kashmiris was tantamount to murder of justice.

He said that Indian government was committing atrocities over innocent Kashmiri people and despite Indian barbarism in Occupied Kashmir, the movement for right to self-determination had further intensified. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris for achieving right to self-determination would not go to waste.
