Two people were killed Saturday when a private charter plane crashed after taking off from the Philippines' western resort town of Coron, officials said.
The twin-engined BN-2A Islander went down on the outskirts of the town shortly after taking off, officials in Coron said.
The plane, owned by Pacific Airways Corporation, had been headed for the capital Manila.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
