MQM ‘s rejoining will strengthen democracy

LONDON: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik telephoned the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr Altaf Hussain and congratulated him on the renewal of the alliance between the PPP and the MQM.

Mr Malik praised Mr Hussain as a great leader who always supported the government in every difficult time like a true coalition partner. Mr Malik termed the renewal of ties as a positive step for the democracy in the country.

He said that the MQM will remain a coalition partner of the government and the MQM and the PPP will continue to work for the stability of the democratic system and for solving the problems of the public.

Mr Hussain appreciated the views of Mr Malik and congratulated him on the renewed alliance between the MQM and the PPP. He also praised the efforts of Mr Malik towards reconciliation between the two parties.
