MQM to move adjournment motion in NA to discuss raise in POL prices
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee on Saturday criticised the recent increase in the POL prices and called for steps by the government to provide relief to the people in terms of prices.
The MQM body termed the increase in POL prices as unjustified and said it would bring in its fold a strong wave of inflation.
The statement said that the MQM has decided to submit an adjournment motion in the National Assembly on Monday in order to discuss the oppressive increase in the POL prices.
This decision has been taken in view of strong protests from the public, it added.
The Rabita Committee called upon the government to review the policy of constant increase in the POL prices and take steps for providing relief to the public.
