QUETTA: The first Haj flight PK 1901 of Pakistan International Airlines carrying 204 pilgrims from Quetta Airport left for Jeddah on Friday.
Federal Minister for Postal Services Umer Gorgaij, Provincial Information Minister Yunas Mullazai, Marketing Manager PIA Anjum Amin Mirza, PIA Balochistan chief A.M Wardagh and other officials were at the airport to see off the pilgrims.
It may be mentioned here that PIA has initiated Hajj operation from Quetta. The national flag carrier would take 16, 224 pilgrims from Balochistan to Jeddah through 78 flights during the hajj operation 2011, said the PIA Balochistan official adding the pre-hajj operation would continue till 31 October.
He said that PIA has made best arrangements for the pilgrims to avoid any inconvenience.
