dengue-virusISLAMABAD: School timings in government schools in the federal capital have been changed due to dengue virus threat while private schools have also been instructed to follow the new timings with effect from October 1.

According to spokesman of the Federal Directorate of Education Prof Waqar Ashraf, 420 federal schools and colleges will follow new timings from October 1, reported a private news channel on Friday.

The educational institutions will commence classes from 8.30 instead of 8 am. The classes in the evening shift will continue to follow previous schedule, the spokesman added.

The institutions have been instructed to strictly ensure that the students wear full sleeves and trousers.
