PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) has revised load shedding schedule throughout the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the wake of decline in power generation.
PEPCO has allotted a quota of 880 mega watt in the shortfall of the electricity and the company is carrying 7 to 8 hours load shedding in urban and 8 to 9 hours load shedding in rural areas on its all 11 feeders.
The company has urged the consumers to minimize the use of electricity so that the load shedding duration may be further reduced and overloading of the system could be avoided to overcome the current energy crisis.
The company is taking all possible steps to overcome the energy crisis, however, the consumers are requested to conserve energy through consuming less electricity especially during peak hours i.e. from 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.
The company has also requested the industrial consumers to extend their cooperation to save at least 25 percent energy and all commercial consumers to close all the shopping plazas and shops before 8.00 P.M sharp and switch off all the street lights alternatively especially the bill board.
The domestic consumers are also requested to use energy savers and tube lights instead of bulbs and iron their clothes in day time so that energy could be saved. All consumers are requested to minimize the use of AC & while using AC its thermostate must be kept at 26 degree.
Similarly, the tube well operators have been urged to operate tube wells in accordance with load shedding schedule, so that customers does not face difficulties in getting water. Due to severe over loading RCC Islamabad carried out 783 MW forced load shedding in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
