ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference in India Occupied Kashmir (IoK) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has submitted a memorandum to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) asking it to call upon India to sincerely address the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The memorandum said that the OIC should call upon India to sincerely address the core dispute of Jammu and Kashmir in the dialogue for its resolution in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The APHC Chairman also asked the OIC to impress upon the Indian government to take immediate steps to mitigate the sufferings of the Kashmiris.
The Mirwaiz demanded demilitarization of Jammu and Kashmir and revocation of all draconian laws in the territory.
He also asked for holding of a free and fair plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir under the UN auspices, as stipulated in UN Security Council Resolutions.
