ISLAMABAD: Chief of Jamiat-i-Ulema Islam (F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at Prime Minister House here on Sunday and discussed the political situation in the country.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman welcomed the initiative of prime minister to take the political leadership into confidence on the recent developments in the region.

The prime minister thanked Maulana Fazlur Rehman for always supporting national interests and hoped that JUI-F would continue to extend cooperation in the larger national interest.
