Nargis appreciates president's efforts to help flood victims

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Provincial Minister and PPP leader Nargis N. D. Khan has said that President Zardari is pursuing the policy of reconciliation and wants the people to work shoulder to shoulder with the government to face the flood challenge collectively.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, she said besides the president interaction with the provincial ministers, he also held a meeting with the NGOs arranged by the Provincial Minister Yameen. She said that the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and representatives of NGOs assured full cooperation to President Zardari in the greatest national interest.

Provincial Minister said that the president also held first ever interaction with the sportsmen and artists who also assured him of their full support.

The Minister said that the president was highly concerned over the magnitude of devastation of flood of current year as compared to the previous ones in Sindh. She quoted the president as having urged the people to work with devotion, dedication and patriotism.
