SALU invites bids from health insurance companies

aderSUKKUR: Bids will be invited from Insurance companies and on competitive basis Insurance Company will be awarded a contract for Health Insurance of SALU employees after fulfilling the formalities.

This was decided at a meeting of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, presided over by Pro-vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdullah Phulpoto, in his office, a statement said on Tuesday.

The meeting was held in the light of Minutes of Vice Chancellors' meeting at the Governor House Karachi, regarding medical facilities to the employees of all Universities of Sindh.

Earlier, the meeting had a thorough discussion regarding adoption of Health Insurance Policy for SALU employees from BPS-01 to BPS-22.

A detailed working paper will also be prepared by the University showing the required medical facilities along with competitive rates and the rates offered by other Universities will also be mentioned.

A Proforma will be provided to all the employees from BPS-01 to BPS-22 for providing detailed information.

President Shah Abdul Latif University Teachers Society (SALUTS) Prof Dr. Syed Noor Shah Bukhari, General Secretary SALUTS Prof Dr. Ghulam Mohiuddin Veesar, Medical Adviser Dr. Shabir Ahmed Shaikh, President Employees Welfare Association Shaheryar Ali Rajput, General Secretary Mohammad Aslam Ghumro and Fida Chandio attended the meeting.
