Bids for US 3-month bills lowest since 2013

imageNEW YORK: Demand for the latest supply of US three-month Treasury bills came in at its lowest level since October 2013, according to US Treasury Department data on Monday.

The Treasury sold $37 billion of three-month bills at an interest rate of 0.320 percent, up from 0.300 percent last week.

The ratio of bids to the amount offered was 3.18, down from 3.41 the prior week.

This measure on overall auction demand was the lowest since 3.13 set at a three-month T-bill sale on Oct. 15, 2013.
