"Our leaders misguided us in the name of so-called freedom fight," he said, adding that later, he and his companions felt that they were being misused and misguided by the so-called leadership.

He said that he was thankful to Nawab Jangez Khan Marri who convinced them to surrender, leave the militancy and join mainstream. "Now, we announce to live remaining life as a noble Pakistani citizen and a peaceful Baloch," he said. He appealed to other militants to leave militancy and join mainstream in order to take part in the development of Pakistan and its province Balochistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Nawab Jangez Khan Marri said that most of the militants have felt that they were being used by so-called leadership and that they were fighting for a wrong cause. "A large number of militants want to leave their militant organizations and want to join mainstream in order to live a peaceful life," he said.

In reply to a question, he said Marri agreement was a reality, adding that however, the federal government would decide the fate of the provincial government.
