8 killed, 13 injured in different firing incidents in Karachi

KARACHI: At least eight people lost their lives while 13 were injured in different firing incidents on Sunday at various parts of the city.

According to the details, five men were killed by unidentified armed men in Surjani town.

According to the police, 35-year-old Bacha Rehman son of Motabar Khan and 20-year-old Sajad Khan son of Ayub Khan were going on their vehicle bearing No. KM-255 for supplying oil when unidentified armed men opened fire on them near Hasan hospital situated at Surjani town sector 7-B. As a result they died on the spot.

In another incident, 48-year-old Tahir Khan son of Malooq Khan was gunned down by unidentified armed men when he was standing on the road side of Gulshan-e-Gohram Goth near Khuda ki Basti, Surjani town, while two men also killed by the unidentified armed culprits at Khuda ki Basti, and the identification of both deceased could not be ascertained.

Bodies were shifted to different hospitals including Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs, police said.

Separately, two bullet riddled bodies were found in different parts of the Orangi town area in the limits of Pakistan Bazar Police Station.

According to the police, the first bullet riddled body of a rag-picker identified as 26-year-old Zarmai son of Lal Jan was found in Aziz-e-Milat ground situated at Orangi town sector 13-G, while the second bullet riddled body was found near Bhashabi hotel sector 14.

Police have registered FIR No. 275/2011 under section 302 against unidentified armed men and started probe into the case.

An unidentified bullet riddled body was also found at Urdu Bazar, in the limits of Arambagh police station.

An official of police said that the body was shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

An unidentified two-day old body was found form Lyari express way on Sunday, Edhi ambulance services said.

They said that the body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for postpartum.
While, in another incident of firing and torture by unidentified men, at least 13 people received injuries in different parts of the city.

In another incident of firing six-year-old Shah Wali son of Naser Ali and six-year-old Naseebullah son of Mohammad Rasool sustained bullet injuries at Ali Garh, Orangi town area in the limits of Orangi Town Police Station, while 18-year-old Shamsullah son of Ajab Khan also got bullet injuries in the limits of Surjani Police Station.
