MIRPUR: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) emerged as the leading victorious party in the elections by obtaining 20 seats out of 37.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) remained the runner-up with securing nine seats, Muslim Conference achieve third position in the elections by winning five seats, independent candidates won two seats and one seat went to the joint candidate of PPP and PML (Q), the official sources told APP here Monday quoting the unofficial results.
Counting of the votes including those landed through postal ballot is underway by the concerned District Returning Officer.
Final official results of the elections will be announced by the AJK Election Commission soon after completion of the ongoing counting of the votes, the AJK Election Commission sources said.
