ISLAMABAD: Khalid Aziz Babar, Pakistan's Ambassador designate to Iran, Hasan Javed, High Commissioner designate to Singapore, and Amjad Sial, Ambassador designate to Tajikistan, Saturday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
They discussed matters pertaining to their new assignments.
The President felicitated the newly appointed ambassadors and advised them to focus on further strengthening bilateral relations and promoting cooperation of Pakistan with the countries of their respective postings.
He emphasized that economic diplomacy be pursued vigorously for furthering economic interests of the country.
He said that the business communities need to be sensitized and encouraged for taking advantage of investment opportunities offered by Pakistan.
