KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Saturday that the drug and land mafias are responsible of unrest here in the city.
Malik also said that only the situation of Kati Phari area of the city is still tense.
While talking with media the minister said that those involved in Karachi unrest will be arrested and punished.
Criticizing negative role of media, he said the media should portray our brave soldiers as heroes.
At least 48 security personnel have been killed in last 5 months, he said.
He praised Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, saying he is a brave man and I respect him.
Replying a question on the Sarfraz killing case, Malik said the verdict of the Supreme Court will be obeyed.
