imageKARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement is against the obsolete system prevalent in the country and is striving for a society based on principles of equality, said Haq Parast Member of National Assembly Sajid Ahmed.

Addressing the participants of fourth annual All Karachi Speech Contest organised by All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation (APMSO) he said MQM Chief, Altaf Hussain is spearheading a campaign aimed at catapulting educated and enlightened youth with limited resources to important decision making bodies of the country.

"These youth are struggling against the crippling system and are playing their role to get it replaced by a dynamic system with equal opportunities for all," he said.

Central Secretary General of APMSO, Tauseef Ejaz on the occasion said nations and movements do come across difficult times and those who lead and contribute towards social and national stability are always remembered.

He said struggle initiated by Altaf Hussain has gained momentum in all parts of the country and has led to general awakening among the masses about their rights.

Central Joint Secretary of APMSO, Adil Khan, its Secretary for information and publications Syed Waqas Ali Shah and senior member Ahmer Falastini also spoke on the occasion.

Students from different public and private sector educational institution participated in the event. They were bucked-up by their fellow students and teachers.

Former MNA Abid Ali Umang, TV Anchor Faisal Karim and orator Frahan Azam comprised the panel of judges.
