SAHIWAL: Pakistan Muslim League-N and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) have awarded party tickets to their candidates for two NA and four PP seats in the city.
According to PML-N sources here Sunday, the party has issued tickets to Pir Syed Imran Ahmad Shah for NA-160, Ch.Muhammad Ashraf for NA-161, Pir Khizer Hayat Shah Khaga for PP-220, Malik Nadeem Kamran for PP-221, Muhammad Arshad Malik for PP-222, Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi for PP-223. PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has directed the candidates to start their electioneering in their constituencies.
PTI has also issued party tickets to Ali Shakoor Chaudhry for NA-160, Malik Muhammad Yar Dhako for NA-161, Manzoor Ahmad Chaudhry for PP-220, Shakeel Khan Niazi for PP-221, Ch.Umer Ishaq for PP-222 and Irshad Kathia for PP-223.
However, the PTI's review committee will review the decision on awarding ticket to Shakeel Khan Niazi for PP-221.
Meanwhile, a candidate of PPP from NA-160 Muhammad Zaki Chaudhry has demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan to allow the people for casting their votes who are possessing expiry date CNIC.
He added that hundreds of people in NA-160 are registered voters but their CNICs had expired and it would be impossible for them to get ID card within short span of time.
