KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers, furnace oil and edible oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile two more ship scheduled to load/offload containers and chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 35% at the Port Qasim on Friday where total number of four ships namely MV. Hammonia Pacificum, MV. Salta, Vermilion Energy and Argent Aster are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during lat 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 61,876 tonnes comprising 47,446 tonnes imports and 14,430 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,199 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
