LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Education, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman on Friday said that complete elimination of terrorism and extremism was must for peace and prosperity of the country.
He expressed these views while praying for health of Malala Yousafzai at Government Girls High School, Chamrra Mandi Faizbagh. MPA, Haji Allah Rakha, Ghazali Butt, EDO Education Pervaiz Akhtar, School Administration and students participated in the ceremony.
He said that unemployment and poverty could be minimized through eradication of terrorism, whereas, extremism could be rooted out through promoting quality education and increasing literacy rate in the society.
Strongly condemning cowardly attack on the ambassador of peace & education, Malalai Yousafzai, he said she would recover with the prayers of millions of Pakistani brothers and sisters.
Shuja said that Malalai Yousafzai is a symbol of courage and valour for millions of Pakistani daughters.
He said today `Youm-e-Dua' for early and complete recovery of Malalai Yousafzai is being celebrated under the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
