dengue 400KARACHI: The Dengue Surveillance Cell, constituted by Sindh Health Department registered 16 confirmed cases of dengue fever from Karachi on Monday and Tuesday respectively, the first two days of the current month.

The cell sources on Tuesday evening said 10 confirmed cases were also reported to them from different hospitals of the city on September 29 and 30 respectively.

Two suspected cases were reported from Hyderabad during first two days of the current week, said the officials.

It was in the same period (October one and two) that 243 suspected cases were brought to different hospitals in Karachi.

One hundred and forty two (142) of them were admitted for necessary investigations while another 101 were attended at the out- patient department (OPD).
