Shabbir stresses political resolution of IoK

iok1 400ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) Shabbir Ahmed Shah has said that IoK is a political problem that needs to be resolve politically.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the friendship between Pakistan and India depended upon settlement of the IoK dispute, KMS reported.

He said that the peace would continue to elude South Asia till the lingering dispute remained unresolved. "If the two nuclear powers want that the peace prevails in the area then they should take bold steps for resolution of the dispute," he said.

The senior APHC leader pointed out that New Delhi wanted to suppress the aspirations of Kashmiri people by force. "The Kashmiris will continue their freedom struggle till they are released from the Indian occupation," he added.

Shabbir Shah paid glowing tributes to all those innocent Kashmiris who were martyred by Indian troops and police personnel during 2008-2010 mass uprising.

He deplored that the Indian police personnel involved in the killing of three youth, Noor-ul-Amin Dagga, Bilal Ahmad Najar and Maroof Ahmad, in Islamabad town on 18th September 2010 were still roaming free.

"The authorities have given the killer a free hand. The police have not registered an FIR against them, despite orders of the High Court. This speaks volumes about the brutality and lawlessness prevailing in the territory," he stated.

Shabbir Shah also paid homage to prominent liberation leader, Ajaz Ahmad Dar, on his martyrdom anniversary. He reiterated that the Kashmiri people would not allow the sacrifices of their martyrs go waste.
