lahore--LAHORE: Punjab Government has announced Rs 500,000 for the heirs of each dead and Rs 75,000 for each injured of shoe factory fire incident as compensation.

According to the DCO Noorul Amin Mengal, Chief Minister Muhammed Shahbaz Sharif has also sought a report of the incident within 24 hours.

At least 23 people were killed and seven others injured when inflammable chemicals stored in a shoe factory at Bund Road caught fire due to short circuit on Tuesday.
