Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Emir Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday came down hard on the government for inaugurating Kartarpur corridor, saying the rulers opened the corridor while India responded by handing over Babri Mosque to Hindus.
Addressing the mammoth crowd of his party's Azadi march which entered ninth day, he said that his party wants friendship with all countries in region as well as the US, but is not ready to serve as 'salves'.
In a surprising turn of events, Rehman took refuge under 'Khatme Nabuwat (PBUH)' card, to garner the support of the masses in his anti-government march.
He said that through the Seerat Conference, a strong message has been sent out to the world how much people here love Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and if needed, they would not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for protection of the sanctity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said that no one will be allowed to play with Namoos-e-Risalat (PBUH), adding the rulers have turned the country into a colony of US - whether it is economy, trade and culture or whatever - we have become a salve of the west.
He said that the reason behind creation of Pakistan and the sacrifices rendered by people inspired from "La Ilaha Illallah' was not to have rulers like what have been imposed on Pakistanis.
"We will not allow anything against Islam... this march is a big message and we must pledge that no one will be allowed to commit blasphemy," he maintained.
"If anyone ever makes any attempt, every single individual will turn out to be Ghazi Alamdin and Mumtaz Qadri," he warned.
He claimed that the rulers are assuring Ahmadis that the clause which declared them non-Muslims, will be removed from the Constitution, adding, "If any such attempt is made, we will not compromise on it."
He said that there will be no fight if every institution works within its own ambit, adding, "If we felt anything like blasphemy is committed, there will be no compromise. If this happens, we will be on roads and then don't say that religious card is being used."
Earlier, the JUI-F on Saturday threatened to block highways and motorways across the country in its next phase of its anti-government movement to exert pressure on Prime Minister Imran Khan to step down and announce fresh elections in the country.
However, addressing the crowd, JUI-F Secretary General Senator Abdul Ghafoor Haideri reiterated the party's demands, saying that the protest movement is going to enter into its next phase to exert pressure on the government and the Prime Minister to step down.
