More than a dozen people were injured in an explosion inside a private bank in Sadiqabad, district of Punjab on Thursday.

The bank's building completely collapsed due to the explosion, damaging nearby shops and parked cars. Rescue 1122 officials reached the site of the blast and have started a search and recuse operation. The injured are being shifted to a nearby hospital, local media reported.

The cause of the blast in yet to be ascertained, while the area surrounding the bank has been cordoned off.
