KARACHI: Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) of Model Custom Collectorate (MCC) on Wednesday thwart smuggling attempt of fake watches and glasses worth Rs2,473,312.
As per details, In compliance with IPR alert-1 on infringement of Intellectual Property Rights, issued by DG IPRE, ASO team took action and sized fake watches and glasses which were being smuggled through Hazara Express train originated from Havelian.
The seized watches are worth at Rs2,242,800 while reading and sun glasses are cost at Rs4490 a piece.
Total tentative value of seized smuggled goods is to the tune of Rs.2,473,312.
In another raid, ASO intercepted a Suzuki pick up near Jama Cloth Market in Saddar and seized Indian Gutka, weight 405 kilograms and it is estimated worth is of Rs4,700,323 along with conveyance worth Rs250,000.
