Operation Zarb-e-Azb: 570 terrorists killed, 34 security personnel embraced Shahadat

A total of 570 terrorists have been killed and 34 security forces personnel embraced Shahadat since the start of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, according to the latest updates issued by the ISPR on Sunday. Besides, 98 terrorists' hideouts and 30 IEDs making factories, three ammunition making factories, a number of suicide bomber training centres were destroyed during the ongoing operation. Huge cache of arms, communication equipment, propaganda literature have also been recovered.
After clearance of Miranshah, Boya and Degan from terrorists, 70 percent of Mirali Town and its neighbouring villages have been cleared by the security forces.
House to house search continued as two huge ammunition factories with ammunition stock were recovered Saturday. As many as 30 barrels filled with explosives and chemicals used for making IEDs were also recovered from two large underground tunnels during the clearance of Mirali.
Distribution of relief items among IDPs continues at Bannu, DI Khan and Tank. As many as 152000 ration packs (each weighing 110 Kilogram) have been distributed so far.
