Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will take part in the multinational air force exercise "Red Flag" and a contingent of PAF F-16 combat aircraft have left for US to take part in the exercise. The PAF F-16s, along with fighter pilots and technical crew, departed for the US to take part in the exercise scheduled for July 15, 2010, said a spokesman of PAF here Saturday.
Some of the leading air forces round the globe, including the United States Air Force, would take part in the exercises, he said, adding that the PAF F-16s would fly across the Atlantic Ocean to participate in the exercise. PAF's participation in the exercise would further hone the skills of its combat and technical crew in facing the challenges of effectively employing air power in the 21st century. Red Flag, one of the most reputed airforce exercises in the world, is being held periodically in USA since 1975.
