HEC to certify 29 faculty members as Master Trainers

hec--ISLAMABAD: Higher Education Commission (HEC) will hold concluding ceremony of 20th Master Trainers Faculty Professional Development Programme on March 1.

 

Syeda Shehla Raza, Deputy Speaker Sindh Provincial Assembly will be the chief guest on the occasion.

 

As many as 29 faculty members from 29 public and private sector universities across Pakistan would be certified as Master Trainers.

 

So far 580 members belonging to different HEIs have been benefitted from this course in 20 batches.

 

This eight week in-service programme is designed to equip the teaching faculty with the latest pedagogical and research skills required for effective teaching and research.

 

The whole span of the programme was a rigorous exercise which included various academic modules with additional sessions on important social topics.

 

Recreational and study trips were also arranged to different historic places.

 

The major objective of this intensive training is to enhance and enrich the teaching abilities of teachers to ensure quality education which is entirely dependent on the quality of teachers.

 

Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Executive Director, HEC would also present on the occasion.
