Pakistan_AIDSISLAMABAD: Pakistan Post has issued a Commemorative Postage Stamp of Rs.8 denomination on Wednesday to create awareness among the general public about the risk of AIDS.

The multicolored stamp of 41 x 50 mm size shows that people all over the world may join hands for the prevention of the AIDS epidemic.

The Commemorative Postage Stamp along with a special post mark and first day cover of the issue will be available from Wednesday, for the public and philatelists at all general post offices in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Director General (Operations) Pakistan Post, Fazli Sattar Khan informed that a number of the other Universal Postal Union (UPU) member countries will also issue special stamps and philatelic products to mark 30 years of the AIDS epidemic.
