The ‘Roshan Apni Car’ scheme will facilitate non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs) to purchase cars at a lower price through Roshan Digital Accounts.
Currently, people have to pay 12 to 13 percent on car financing at conventional banks, while NRPs can avail the facility at 7 percent. This means that Overseas Pakistanis will get the cars 20 percent cheaper.

As per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the increase comes on the back of an inflow of $ 194mn in April. Inflows have been accelerating every month since the RDA launch in September 2020.
“Each month $300 to $400 million dollars are coming into interbank market through exchange companies which have led to the rise in foreign exchange reserves and strengthen the local currency,” he said.
Malik Bostan informed that Pakistan has become the fourth largest in terms of remittance inflows, with India at the top followed by China and the Philippines.
“It is a great day for us as the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Roshan Digital Accounts have achieved the milestone of $500 million,” said Baqir in a ceremony on Thursday, while thanking the Prime Minister for the premier’s vision alongside lauding the Overseas Pakistanis as well.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has notified revisions in chapter 20 of the Foreign Exchange Manual to modernize foreign exchange regulations for facilitating startups, fintechs and exports in Pakistan.
