Dr Alvi told the gathering that almost 40 percent pregnancies took place owing to non-availability of contraceptives which must also be thought of while devising the policies.
Alongside the Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs)- the first initiative of its kind by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the PM was of the view that the initiative of Naya Pakistan Certificates would add further value to the RDA.
Governor State Bank, Dr Reza Baqir gave a keynote speech in the D-Debtcon (the Distributed Interdisciplinary Sovereign Debt Research and Management Conference) hosted by Georgetown Law’s Institute of International Economic Law (IIEL).
“We have to remind ourselves that this is a public health crisis, and only on a secondary basis then it becomes an economic crisis," said Baqir.
Reza informed that they have provided $7 billion in terms of liquidity support to households as well as businesses i.e. about 2.5 percent of Pakistan GDP.
