Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar chaired that NCOC meeting in Islamabad to discuss the overall COVID-19 situation in the country.
The participants expressed displeasure over violation of COVID-19 SOPs in public places, marriage ceremonies, restaurants and in the transport sector across the country.
According to a press release issued by the bureau, a meeting was held today to discuss the tomorrow’s hearing alongside the recommendations provided by the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC).
The meeting decided to postpone the Maryam Nawaz hearing as the NCOC has banned gatherings of all kinds.
In a tweet, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said that during the meeting today, NCOC decided to increase restrictions of activities contributing to a sharp increase in coronavirus positivity.
The development was made during the meeting chaired by the Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar in which all the Provincial Chief Secretaries participated through video link.
The authority expressed grave concern over the COVID-19 situation and decided to take drastic measures in the worst affected cities.

NCOC has directed the provincial and Islamabad administration to tighten implementation of coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and crackdown on violations that are taking place, he said.
