Karachi’s COVID-19 positivity rate jumps up to 16.59 pc: NCOC

According to National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data, among overall 71 deaths, 39 were reported in Punjab.
Sindh has the highest positivity rate recorded at 10.6 pc, Azad Kashmir 11.4 pc, Balochistan 14.2 pc, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 8.1 pc and in Punjab 3.8 percent.

Highest COVID-19 positivity rate recorded in Karachi: NCOC

The country’s positivity rate stands at 7.98pc, while, the number of critically ill patients has risen to 2,471 in past 24 hours.
Sindh recorded the highest Covid-19 positivity ratio at 12.13pc, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 11.68pc, while Balochistan stants at third with 9.30pc after recent resurge in infection.

Sindh reports 1,489 new COVID-19 cases, 23 deaths in past 24 hrs

CM said that 2,4137 patients are under treatment at present, 2,4248 of whom are in home isolation, 16 at isolation centres and 873 at different hospitals.
Out of the total new infections, 1,067 were detected in Karachi, including 364 in South, 341 East, 150 Central, 88 Korangi, 63 West and 61 Malir.

COVID-19 claims lives of three doctors in Karachi

So far 10,925 healthcare workers have been infected with the COVID-19, including 6.791 doctors and 1,360 nurses and 2,774 staff of the hospitals.
About 103 healthcare workers lost their battle against the virus since the pandemic began in the country.

The 39.4 kilometers long expressway will begin from Jan Sadiq Bridge Zero Point and end at Kathore Bridge.

Explosive material used in Karachi’s Maskan Chowrangi blast: Report

The report compiled by HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, Karachi University found TNT material used in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal blast, which killed nine people and left over 20 injured on October 21.
The blast occurred at a ground-plus-four-story residential building, Noor Apartments, having banks and commercial shops on the ground and mezzanine floor.

Baldia Town, Gadap, Keamari, Islamnagar, Saeedabad, Mohajir Camp, Maymarabad, Yousuf Goth, Data Nagar, Hanifabad, Pak Colony, Metroville, Bawani Chali, and Frontier Colony will undergo lockdown starting from tomorrow.
