The election tribunal dismissed the petition challenging the Senate nomination of Vawda.
Today is the final day of the two-day process for election tribunals to hear and decide and appeals against acceptance and rejection of Senate nominations.

The Election Tribunal has served notices to the respondents and summoned them for arguments on February 23
He said Faisal Vawda should be part of the senate because he is the one of the active and vocal person of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government.
The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry disclosed the development in a series of tweets stating that the party has finalised most of its candidates for the Senate polls.
"From Sindh, Faisal Vawda will contest the election while Saifullah Abro will contest the election for the technocrats seat as the PTI's candidate," the minister tweeted.
"If the defendant failed to respond on the next hearing, the ECP will itself approach the US Consulate for details," the CEC said and adjourned the hearing till February 24.
The ECP was hearing the petition seeking the federal minister's disqualification due to his dual nationality.
Voicing serious concerns over stealing of massive amount during the last regime of PML-N, he said the whole nation wanted to know about misuse of Rs.14,000 crore.
