Israel and Hamas both claimed victory on Friday after their forces ended 11 days of fighting, but humanitarian officials warned the damage to Gaza would take years to rebuild.
Israeli forces have stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, launching tear gas, rubber bullets and stun grenades at worshippers, risking the longevity of the newly-agreed ceasefire.
Several injuries are being reported, as worshippers come under siege from Israeli forces.
PM Khan said he has observed a significant shift in public opinion worldwide, as more people are raising their voices against Israeli atrocities in Palestine.
"A day would come when Palestinians would have their own country," Khan said in his Solidarity Day speech.
A statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said the security cabinet had "unanimously accepted the recommendations to accept an Egyptian initiative for an unconditional... ceasefire."
The month-long stoppage in hostilities in the Alingar district of Laghman province, one of the hardest hit by violence, was called to allow local farmers to harvest their wheat crop and students to sit annual examinations
Tribal elders drafted a demand letter, known locally as an "Ariza", which was then signed by two local officials of each the Taliban and the government.
The Taliban has declared a three-day ceasefire across Afghanistan, to mark Eid al Fitr, only two days after more than 50 people - most of which were young girls - were killed in bomb blasts outside a school in Kabul.
The ceasefire announcement comes as the United States continues to withdraw its last 2500 troops from the war-torn country, as negotiations between the government and the Taliban falter.
In the latest, the interior ministry said Monday that at least 11 people were killed by a bomb that struck a bus overnight in southeastern Zabul province.
“But if the enemy conducts any assault or attack against you during these days, stand ready to robustly protect and defend yourselves and your territory,” the statement said.
"I know its too much to ask for a news story to be fact checked before publication these days. But at least the story shouldn’t defy all logic," he tweeted.
In a message comemorating Pakistan Day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told his counterpart Prime Minister Imran Khan that his country desires mutually cordial relations.
Prime Minister Modi stated in his letter that "As a neighbouring country, India desires cordial relations with the people of Pakistan", adding that "For this, an environment of trust, devoid of terror and hostility, is imperative."
"We urge all parties to the conflict in Yemen to engage in a meaningful dialogue to end the hostilities in order to save thousands of innocent lives and ensure regional peace and stability," FO said.
The FO further said that Pakistan fully supports Saudi efforts for 'peaceful settlement of the conflict in Yemen and stand in solidarity with the kingdom'.
A day after military chiefs from India and Pakistan made an unprecedented joint-agreement to respect their original ceasefire agreement from 2003, reportedly a top diplomat from the United Arab Emirates subsequently visited New Delhi for a brief one-day visit.
The India-Pakistan ceasefire was the culmination of secret talks behind closed doors brokered by the Gulf state over the course of months.
