Iqbal’s legal representative stated before the court that his client was sacked from service by PIA and arrested on charges of having obtained the job on a bogus degree.
The counsel pleaded with the bench to grant his client post-arrest bail and order his release.
The Authority is carrying out raids for the two accused allegedly involved in the scam after it emerged that some of the aviation employees were using their frontmen to collect money for the fake licenses.
The Authority has acquired remand of some of the license branch officials and pilots and also expanded investigation circle.
The authority also added six more countries to the C category list including South Africa, UK, Portugal, Ireland and Brazil.
The category C international passengers now have to show Covid-19 report upon arrival and they will undergo another assessment of the virus in Pakistan, says CAA.
The advisory has been issued for all Pakistan-registered carriers and has been recommended to all the UN agencies.

The airline allowed two passengers to board its flight TK0584 from Istanbul to Lahore without proof of negative RT-PCR test.
Both countries are listed as a Category B countries by Pakistan, which means that inbound passengers landing in Pakistan have to get a PCR test at least 96 hours before traveling.
