India will be added to England's travel "red list" from Friday, as cases of the UK variant continue to grow.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday cancelled a planned trip to India, scheduled to take place next week, due to the current coronavirus situation in India.
Health officials started using the Moderna jab in Wales last week and had said it would be rolled out across the rest of the United Kingdom in the coming days.
The ousted envoy said his defence attache, Chit Win, had taken over the mission in "a kind of coup", two months after the military seized power in Myanmar.
The United Kingdom has vaccinated 31.6 million people with a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine - and administered 5.5 million second doses. It will shortly have vaccinated half of its total population.
"The recent decision by UK govt to add some countries including Pakistan on the red list raises a legitimate question whether choice of countries is based on science or foreign policy," Umar tweeted.
On Friday, the United Kingdom's Foreign Office announced that it was adding Pakistan to the Red List of travel ban countries, with measures coming into force from April 9th.
The Pakistani government and medical officials had earlier blamed the rise in cases on a coronavirus variant, that was first reported in the United Kingdom.
Among the foreign dignitaries attending are Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Britain's Prince Charles, with France represented by Defence Minister Florence Parly after President Emmanuel Macron pulled out over the pandemic.
