ANF asked to submit comprehensive report
ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Tuesday directed Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to submit a comprehensive report on the progress in the ephedrine quota allotment case by the next date of hearing.
A three-member bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain heard the ephedrine quota allotment case.
During the course of hearing, the bench expressed dissatisfaction over a report submitted by ANF under the court directions.
During the course of proceedings, the Chief Justice remarked that investigations into ephedrine quota allotment case were not conducted in a proper manner. Justice Khawaja said the case should be investigated in a transparent manner.
The court expressed its dissatisfaction on the ANF authorities report and directed that a comprehensive report pertaining to the progress of the case should be submitted on the next date of hearing.
After asking Rizwan, an approver in the case, to appear before the court, the court adjourned hearing for 10 days.
