Minister inaugurates new building of Hyderabad Sports Club

While talking to the media during the inauguration of the new building of Hyderabad Sports Club here Tuesday, the minister informed that the Sindh government in its ongoing tenure had taken steps for the promotion of sports.

"We are building 60 sports grounds of which 32 have been completed and brought into the use for sports," he said adding that the remaining 28 grounds were also in the near completion process.

The minister apprised that the construction of that new building of Hyderabad Club had cost Rs 50 million.

"We will also spend Rs 50 million for renovation and expansion of the club's hostel, tennis courts and other facilities," he announced.

To a question about encroachment over the sports grounds in many parts of Sindh, the minister said the government had already taken notice of such complaints.

He added that the sports ministry was working in coordination with the deputy commissioners of the respective districts to remove the encroachments.

Later, the minister inspected the new building and the hostel.
